A True Story is a stage production that focuses on transgender childhood, transgender parenthood and family relationships. The project is inspired, based and performed by transgender kids, teenagers and adults along with their chosen family members.
A True Story is a multidisciplinary project with an artistic focus on dance, visual art and performance. The work is directed and choreographed by Daniel Mariblanca in collaboration with several national and international artists.
Co-producers of A True Story are: BIT Teatergarasjen, Dansens Hus Oslo, Carte Blanche, Bergen Kjøtt and What You See Festival.
A True Story had its final 2023 performances at Dansens Hus in Oslo, 07-10SEP, with two performances each day.
